Term One Overview

Dear Families,

Please find our Term One Overview below. For future reference it may be found under the ‘Parent Information’ tab. Please also note that our Term One Timetable, also located on the same page, has been updated.

Many thanks,

Alana, David and Narelle

Welcome Back!

Dear Families,

We are so very excited to welcome everyone back to school tomorrow! Students will wear their full summer school uniform and will begin their day with their specialist subjects – Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Japanese.

On Friday we will begin our Caritas Friday Lenten journey. This week our students are encouraged to wear one piece of their favourite clothing with their school sport uniform. We ask that our students be mindful of what item of clothing they choose as they will need to remove it when representing our school at interschool sports. For example, if they choose to wear a soccer jersey they would also need to bring their school sport top in their bag. A gold coin donation is also required to support Caritas Project Compassion-thank you!

We are very excited to see our senior students leading our school community in a positive, supportive and encouraging way.

Thank you for your ongoing support,

Alana, David and Narelle

For Your Information

Dear Year 6 Parents,

We hope that you and your families are safe and well. Once again, these unprecedented times have dealt us an unexpected change of routine.

The current 5 day lockdown looks very different to the way we engaged with remote learning in 2020.

At the beginning of the term, our homegroup focus is getting to know one another as well as establishing expectations and routines. During this time, students have not had access to digital devices. So today, it is not expected that students complete learning activities. From Tuesday, some learning activities will be placed on the blog. These learning activities do not all require online access for completion (there are some online activities if you and your child wish to complete these).

You may not yet have subscribed to the new year 6 learning blog, please check your email as you would have received information about subscribing to this blog: https://smcmdaretolead.com/

The year 6 teachers will be available over the next few days. Please do not hesitate to contact us via email or through whereby using the links below

WHEREBY:

We will be available to chat with you and your child on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30am – 12:30pm should you require further assistance or advice to support your child with learning activities. Whereby can only accommodate 4 students/parents at one time so if you are waiting to be let in by your teacher it is possible that the room is full so you may need to try again in 15 minutes.
