Friday’s Learning

Dear Students and Families,

Thank you for an amazing week of learning. We have been incredibly impressed by your resilience and your dedication to not give up and make the best from learning at home.

So, who’s excited for the Olympics to begin? Today’s learning is getting you ready to enjoy the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Don’t forget to watch the Opening Ceremony tonight, as in previous years, we are confident it will be spectacular!

Have a restful weekend everyone and we will look forward to seeing you all Monday morning via Google Meet!

New Spelling Words- WEEK 2

This week we are looking at the prefix “dis-” This prefix (start of the word) means away or negative. This prefix was found in your literacy task yesterday with the word “dispossession.” What does this word mean? Add your answer as a comment to the bottom of this post!

Please remember to choose your 6-8 spelling words for the week and try to include these words in your writing this week!

Five Day Lockdown

Good afternoon students and families,

As you are all aware Victoria is moving into a five day lockdown from 11.59pm tonight (Thursday 15th July 2021) until 11.59pm on Tuesday 20th July. We anticipate, subject to Government advice, that we will return to school from 8.30am Wednesday 21st July 2021.

Tomorrow morning (Friday 16th July) at 9am, senior students will have a 9am google meet with their teachers – the link will be on student google calendars (as we have done during previous lockdowns). It would be wonderful if you could all attend so that we can touch base and have a chat.

Possible learning tasks for tomorrow:

  • Start working on your Saint research home learning tasks (there is a copy below)
  • Practise spelling (there is a copy below)
  • Practise multiplication

We know this is a difficult time for some people. Let’s take a breath and know that we are in this together!
We’ve got this SENIORS!!!

Please email your teachers if you need anything at all or if you just need to chat.

Welcome to Term 3

Dear Students and Families,

A big welcome to Term 3! It’s certainly going to be a big term with camp and Confirmation to look forward to. We are incredibly excited for both special events. Thank you to those students who have already returned their camp permission notes, we are still waiting on few outstanding notes so of they could be returned to school asap that would be appreciated. A huge thank you to Hannah’s mum Michelle for working so diligently to order and chase up the Year 6 polo tops. The students were incredibly excited to receive their tops and wore them with the utmost pride today. Our Term 3 timetable can be found below, please note that BLACK socks are not part of our school sports uniform and white socks should be worn. Students will be bringing information home in regards to homework this term so please keep an eye out for this.

If you have any questions in regards to this term please don’t hesitate to contact your homegroup teacher.

As always, thank you for the ongoing support.

Alana, David and Narelle
